Our Values

Values exist to tell people who we are as a unique church. What makes us different, or identifiable, from other churches. What do we hope people encounter when they are around us. If a person was asked, “What is Passion about?”, or “What are they like?”, our desired reality is that these would be words which would be used to describe who we are.

Christian Churches in Boise, Idaho | Passion Church

Our church will be a church who seeks the will of God in all things. We will seek Him through prayer, through fasting, through worship, through study of Scripture, always seeking to align our will with His, always seeking His course of action in any situation. We will be a church who prays so much that when the facilities director chooses Cottenelle instead of Charmin, it will be because he or she was directed to do so by God(Matthew 6:33; Ephesians 6:18-19).

Boise, Idaho, Christian Churches | Passion Church

Our church will be a church known for serving God by serving each other and serving the world. Christ’s mission was to come and serve us by giving His life for us. The only appropriate life of a Christian is one of joyful sacrifice of time, talents and treasure for the expansion of the Kingdom. We will serve our neighbor, especially our believing neighbors. When the call to serve comes, we will be a church who raises our hand and, with joyful hearts, says, “Here I am, send me!”(Isaiah 6:8, Mark 10:45; Galatians 6:10).

SURRENDEROur church will be a church who has submitted their entires lives as a living sacrifice, holy & pleasing to God. Our desire to be our own gods has no place in the life of a Christian. A true follower of Christ has made a volitional decision to surrender his or her will to the Lordship of Christ. The authority of God, communicated to us through His Word and His Spirit, are the final say in our lives, and we raise our white flags of surrender to our loving Lord(Romans 12:1-2; James 4:7; Mark 14:35-36).

CELEBRATEOur church will be a church who intentionally focuses on anything which is good, right, true or honorable. Our society has become fearful, slanderous, back-biting and divisive. Passion will intentionally celebrate, will rejoice in, the amazing things God is doing in and around our people. Whenever a lost sheep returns home, whenever divorce papers are torn up, whenever there is a totally unexpected, perfectly timed unexpected tax return, the trumpets will sound as we celebrate that our great, sovereign God is with us, and He is good.(Phil 4:4-9; Psalm 150:1-6; Luke 15:3-10).
